Hello! My name is Ms. Mr. Marley. I will be your teacher in 6th and 7th English Language Arts and Communication Applications/Speech. I am so excited that you will be a part of my class this year! I expect that you will offer your best work and effort each day and come to class with a willingness to learn. School requires hard work, but you will be rewarded with knowledge. Throughout the semester, students will learn to appreciate literature, writing, speech communication theory and public speaking.

Mr. Marley grew up in Lakewood, California where the beach, mountains, desert, and Disneyland were only a short driving distance away. Mr. Marley has been married to his wife Roberta for 31 years and together they have five daughters. He has four granddaughters, five grand-dogs, and three grand-cats. Mr. Marley has been teaching for the past twelve years. He loves all kinds of music and plays guitar and harmonica. Mr. Marley loves movies, however he is not ashamed to say that he cried at the end of Spiderman 1 & 2. He is passionate about meeting the needs of students in all his classes and is a voracious reader. Yes, and the book is always better than the movie!

After his five daughters graduated from college, Mr. Marley went back to school. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University. in 2008 he completed his Master’s Degree in Education . He has teaching certifications in English Language Arts, Reading, English as a Second Language, Special Education, and Communication Applications/Speech. Mr. Marley also earned his Reading Specialist certification and is a Master Reading teacher.
